BEHIND THE CAMERA

It took me a while to find the "one", but once I did, I wouldn't take no for an answer. Then it took me a while to find the "thing" I loved to do. In 2003 I got my first website design job, and my career was off. I quickly learned that I was more efficient being my own boss, than working for someone else, so in early 2004 I opened my first company. In 2005 I moved to the Cayman Island with my now husband, and worked as a Design & Marketing Director for Cayman Islands Sotheby's International Realty. We returned to Canada in 2008 to start a family. In 2009 I shot my first wedding. I am so excited to be able to combine my two loves of design and photography and continue my independent creative journey with Joanna Moss Creative.

My husband and I are major Disneyland enthusiast and my two boys love that we are. We love being outdoors, Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge is two of our favourite family outings all year long. We love trying new foods, new restaurants, new recipes, new wines and coffee shops! Sometimes the little things in life can tell you the most about a person. Copper Boom!! (You'll understand if you love Gilmour Girls like I do!!!)

Do what you LOVE
and LOVE what you do....

"I Do!"

hi friend!

This is me. I'm a cancer. I love to laugh!
I would wear flip flips all year long if it didn't rain so much in Vancouver.

I'm addicted to Disneyland... and my family loves that I am!

This kid keeps my days interesting. Full of laughter, hugs, goofballs, kisses and What just happened moments!

This is what a typical day looks/feels like.

This kid keeps my brain sharp & my heart full.

This is the love of my life. We were married June 1, 2007. and have had quite the amazing adventure since.

We even lived in the Cayman Islands for 3 years!

Green tea in the morning,
coffee mid day,
London fog in the evening.

This is the puppy the boys keep trying to convince me we need!

This is me trying not to look all hot and gross 8 hours into an 11 hour destination wedding at Sea Cider House in Sidney, BC.

This is me during a winter destination wedding at Maple Bay Manor in Duncan, BC. I'm nice and warm... the bride not so much!

This was during one of the hottest days of the summer in 2017. I was shooting a ceremony at the UBC Rose Garden and the camera kept burning my face it was so heated from the sun!

This is my second shooter Rania

This is my favourite
moment of every
wedding!

My passport is always ready for a new adventure, with the family, a destination wedding or conference!

My favourite wedding detail is the bridal bouquet!

You don't spend three years in one place if you haven't fallen in love with it. It's been years since I've moved back but I still think about the amazing beaches daily.
