I love flowers, I love lots of flowers, I love flowers at weddings! Go figure!
There are lots of DIY ideas out there for weddings. Most of the flower DIY ideas are that you go buy the flowers from the florist and make your own bouquet, or buy them at the market and again make your own centrepieces and bouquets. That’s great but it’s hard work making a beautiful bouquet and centrepieces and it’s still costly to buy all those flowers if you’re really on a budget. So what’s the solution?
Grow your own flower! Most couples get engaged at least a year prior to their wedding, which is plenty of time to grow your own amazing fresh flowers at a fraction of the price of buying them. If something goes wrong, it’ll still not be too late to buy them… always have a backup plan. Then hire a planner or decorator that has floral experience and supply her with all of the flowers you’ve grown yourself for your wedding. It’s a beautiful sweet creative idea, unique to you! You know no one else getting married will have flowers like you, because you great them in your own garden! If your garden isn’t big enough, ask friends and family to help! Ask to plant flowers in your parents gardens and your bridal party, even pots on the balcony.
